CYFL
(Updated 8-24-11)

This is the site for the Clay Youth Football League in Brazil, Indiana. The league is dedicated to teaching players all the fundamentals of football. Not only will players learn skills used on a football field, they will be taught valuable life skills including discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. The CYFL is not limited to players from Clay County; it also includes players from Parke, Putnam, Vigo, and Vermillion Counties. We encourage all youths in Kindergarten through sixth grade to come out and play football.
There are three levels within the league. The Pee Wee League includes players in grades K and 1. The Pee Wee League is full contact 11-man football. We feel it is important to teach proper blocking and tackling techniques at a younger age to help increase safety and success in their future playing football. It is easier to learn these techniques at an earlier age rather than trying to learn when their opponents are bigger, faster, and stronger. The teams are the Bulldogs, Titans, Panthers, and Steelers. The Junior League is composed of players in grades 2, 3, and 4. The teams in this league are the 49ers, Chargers, Eagles, Jaguars, Lions, and Yellow Jackets. The Senior League is composed of players in grades 5 and 6. The teams are the Bears, Colts, Firebirds, Knights, Red Devils, Screaming Eagles, and the Volunteers.
